Frequently asked questions

We get asked a lot of questions, so we’ve put together this page to help you find answers quickly.

If your question isn’t listed here, feel free to reach out via social media, email, or phone.

  1. HOW DO I AUDITION TO BECOME A VOICE ACTOR?

There are a few ways you can audition.

1. Auditioning through Discord (recommended)

Most of our productions run through our Discord server. Multiple projects are active at once, each with its own audition section.

For example, if you’re auditioning for The Last Check In (TLCI):

  • Open the audition forum for the project.

  • You’ll see tabs for each character: open, closed, and past auditions.

  • Select the character you want to audition for.

  • Each character tab includes a description, audition lines, and a voice actor template.

  • Record the lines and upload your audition in that channel, including your completed template.

Once submitted, Tully will react to your audition to let you know how you went. Later characters will be casted, wich will be announced on discord and the website.

2. Auditioning via email

Email us and we’ll send you the audition lines. Send back your recordings along with the completed voice actor template.

We’re working on additional audition methods in the future.

  1. DO YOU DO VOICE FITS?

Yes. You can send your demo reels in the Discord voice‑fit channel (under the Support category) or email them to us.

  1. HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO AUDITION?

You must be at least 13 years old. Please note:

  • Younger voices may not suit our characters.

  • Our projects are long‑term, so we need people who can commit for years.

  1. WHAT IF I’M NEW TO VOICE ACTING?

Experience doesn’t matter. Auditioning is how you gain experience, and we offer support and coaching along the way.

  1. DOES MY ACCENT MATTER?

  Usually no.

Most characters have a preferred accent, but it’s not required. We encourage everyone to audition. Sometimes an unexpected accent fits a character perfectly. Only a few roles require a specific accent.

  1. I WANT TO BE APART OF PRODUCTION BUT NOT A VOICE ACTOR, WHAT CAN I DO?

We don’t currently have official castings for non‑VA roles, but you’re welcome to propose your skills or work via email or Discord.

  1. I WANT TO WRITE AN ORIGINAL STORY AND HAVE YOU MAKE IT A PRODUCTION, HOW DO I REQUEST THIS?

Email contacttidewellproductions@gmail.com with:

  • A story proposal

  • Character information

  • Your terms

  • Your expectations

We’ll review it and contact you to discuss a contract. Please note we may decline proposals.

  1. WHEN WILL SERIES/EPISODE____  COME OUT?

We don’t have release dates yet. We’ll post production updates on this website and on Discord. All audio dramas are currently in production, and nothing has been uploaded yet.

  1. WHERE CAN I LISTEN TO ___ ?

We upload on spotify and youtube.

  1. WHY DOES TULLY AND OTHER VA’S VOICE MOST CHARACTERS?

It’s more cost‑effective and efficient for us, and sometimes we already have specific voices in mind when creating characters.
